1. Overview

These terms of service ("terms") govern your use of the SuperShrimp desktop application and the website at supershrimp.io. By purchasing, downloading, or using SuperShrimp, you agree to these terms.SuperShrimp is operated under the jurisdiction of Singapore.

2. Description of service

SuperShrimp is a desktop application that uses your webcam and on-device AI to monitor your sitting posture in real time. The app runs entirely locally on your computer. No webcam images or video are transmitted, stored, or processed on external servers. The AI model is bundled with the application.

3. License

3.1 License grant

Upon purchase, you receive a perpetual, non-transferable license key that grants you the right to use SuperShrimp on one (1) device. The license key is bound to the first device on which it is activated.

3.2 Updates

Your license includes all software updates released within one (1) year from the date of purchase. After this period, the app will continue to function but will no longer receive updates unless a new license or update plan is purchased.

3.3 Device binding

Each license key is bound to a single device upon first activation. If you need to transfer your license to a different device, visit our support page. Additional devices require additional licenses.

3.4 Restrictions

You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or share your license key. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application. You may not use the application for any unlawful purpose.

4. Pricing and payment

SuperShrimp is sold as a one-time purchase. Prices are listed on supershrimp.io and may change at any time. Price changes do not affect existing license holders. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

5. Refund policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with SuperShrimp, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase from our support page. No questions asked.

6. Privacy and data

Your privacy is fundamental to how SuperShrimp works. The app processes webcam data entirely on your device using a local AI model. No images are captured, stored, or transmitted. Anonymized posture analytics (numerical scores and XP) may be synced if you opt in but cannot be used to identify you. For full details, see our privacy policy.

7. Leaderboard

SuperShrimp includes an optional leaderboard feature. Leaderboard entries display a user-chosen username and experience points only. No personal data is associated with leaderboard entries. You are responsible for the username you choose. We reserve the right to remove usernames that are offensive or inappropriate.

8. Availability and platforms

SuperShrimp is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux. We do not guarantee compatibility with all hardware configurations. A working webcam is required for posture monitoring features.

9. Limitation of liability

SuperShrimp is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the application, including but not limited to health-related outcomes. SuperShrimp is not a medical device and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the application constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
